Weddings are everywhere ...

This year it is television’s turn to mine the wedding industry for their storylines.
In Australia this week we will witness the start of two very different TV shows that center on the idea of ‘getting hitched’.
‘Yasmin’s Getting Married’ is the latest in voyeuristic reality shows. Over the next 9 weeks, we can tune in to see what advice and recommendations are handed out to Yasmin by relationship experts in order for her to meet and marry her true love. A no doubt ratings blockbuster which starts on August 1st on TEN at 7pm.
At the other end of the small screen spectrum, we have ‘Wedding TV’ – an up-market, easy-going magazine program on Pay TV (channel 183 Aurora).
WEDDING TV is not about wedding disasters or funny wedding videos. On the contrary, this is a glamorous look at how professional expertise can save time and money for every bride and groom.
The show is described as a visual wedding planner focussing on the individuality of each wedding services provider.
Our hosts from A WEDDING MC HOTLINE - Pete Miller and Natalie-Anne - walk you through the new and stylish services that make up the wedding industry.
Each one of the 26 episodes focuses on one strand of the wedding industry and the businesses competing for the valuable wedding dollar.
WEDDING TV will premier on channel 183 Aurora across Australia starting this Thursday the 3rd August and then every Thursday at 8pm for 26 weeks.
The entire series will be available on DVD soon. All sponsor spots for the first series are sold out, however you can call the production manager on 0425 272786 to express your interest in the following series.
Until next time, enjoy your day.
Warmly,
The Editor WEDDING INDUSTRY NEWS
